According to Marca, residents near the Spotify Camp Nou stadium are asking the Barcelona City Council to take action.

Barcelona previously celebrated its return to Spotify Camp Nou with great fanfare, a return that is significant for the club's finances and for Flick's athletic performance leading the team. However, for residents closest to Barcelona's home stadium, the Blaugrana's return has brought a series of serious inconveniences. Several resident organizations have complained to the Barcelona City Council and demanded action and solutions.

According to an announcement made today by the Federation of Barcelona Residents' Associations, the neighborhoods around Spotify Camp Nou stadium face serious problems coexisting with Barcelona, especially uncivil behavior and obstructed travel, with the situation being even worse on match days. Therefore, this organization and other groups are asking the Barcelona City Council to provide "effective solutions" when Barcelona begins the 2026-27 season.

Resident organizations point out that they "are experiencing more and more travel problems." In addition to the daily inconveniences caused by the stadium renovation project, including the impact of cranes, trucks, etc., it is even more difficult for residents to get home on match days because some streets are closed, bus lines are suspended, and entrances and exits are blocked. Resident organizations say that many people "are unable to get home or travel normally for 5 consecutive hours," and revealed that some more vulnerable groups "need police assistance to return to their residences."

These organizations also expressed dissatisfaction with "uncivil behavior." Resident associations reported that places selling drinks are overcrowded, fans occupy lanes, and some people are "drinking and urinating in public roads."

In response to this situation, resident associations asked the Barcelona City Council to implement a series of measures, including installing cameras, establishing a resident registration system for those authorized to pass through restricted areas, providing alternatives for bus lines suspended on match days, and arranging civility guides to help residents, among others.
