The Argentine decided to bring the Brazilian on for the last two minutes of the match, something which frustrated the long-serving full-back.
The relationship between the pair has broken down in recent months with the Real Madrid manager preferring young Sergio Reguilon ahead of the 30-year-old.
At the end of the match at Estadio Jose Zorrilla, Marcelo avoided crossing the path of Solari, as captured by images from Cuatro.
Marcelo's mood changed for the better when he saw Benzema, giving him a hug which brought a smile to the Brazilian.
