One of the rather more colourful stories from the 1994 Champions League final between Barcelona and AC Milan was Johan Cruyff's assertion that the Rossoneri of Fabio Capello were nothing special.
That was a statement which would motivate the Italians to a 4-0 victory, and Lothar Matthaus is at risk of doing something similar by declaring that Barcelona can't progress past Bayern Munich in Lisbon.
Lionel Messi dragged his team past Napoli in the previous round, yet the Bayern legend sees the current iteration of Los Cules as far weaker than in recent years.
"Bayern will have to make a lot of mistakes to lose to this Barcelona, today's Barcelona isn't the same as it was before," Matthaus explained.
Barcelona have already taken note of this statement, if ever they needed any additional motivation then this was it.
Messi will have seen Matthaus claim Robert Lewandowski is better than him, and he will be determined to prove the German wrong, and when Messi is even more motivated than usual, opposing teams usually suffer.

what is true is that Bayer is coming stronger than Barcelona I mean like a team ...and Barcelona is coming with many problems starting for the board ..coach and players but if they find a inspired MESSI he can motivate his team mates to win this match ....because he is the best in history...win or not win MESSI is the most complete football player in history ..but MESSI can't do it alone
