Max Allegri reportedly turned down five job offers, including Chelsea twice, before returning to the helm at Juventus.
The 53-year-old returned to the former Serie A champions last month, just two years after he was sacked by the club in May 2019.
Over the past two years the Italian who won five straight league titles in his last spell at Juventus, has been linked with many top jobs across Europe.
In an interview with Il Bianconero, Allegri's mentor Giovanni Galeone said that the manager rejected proposals from five clubs including Chelsea twice.
He said: 'The last year that he was at Juventus, Allegri said no to five big offers. Chelsea tried twice in the space of 15 days and he always rejected every proposal.
'Then Real Madrid contacted him more than once, while Arsenal, PSG and Manchester United also tried. This was all in the space of a year, but he always said no.
'I do think that if Juve hadn't called, he would be in Madrid now, even though he wasn't entirely convinced by the organisation there. Nobody is, really.'
Galeone, a former Udinese manager, previously stated that Allegri rejected a number of jobs due to family issues.
He told Naples based radio station Radio Kiss Kiss in March:Β 'The reason is simple: due to some serious family problems with his mother, he had to say no to major clubs.
'Max has said no to Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid. Now he wants to go back and he wants a first-class club. He also rejected PSG.'
Galeone revealed Allegri's rejection of Madrid came after he had rejected the French champions and the Premier League duo, adding he did not want to look like a 'clown' by taking the job at the Spanish giants having only just turned down the advances of the other three sides.
Since Allegri left Juventus in 2019, Chelsea have had two changes of manager.
Maurizio Sarri left Stamford Bridge a month after Allegri was sacked, and was replaced by Frank Lampard.
The Chelsea legend had 18 months in charge before he was replaced by Thomas Tuchel, who clinched the Champions League with a victory over Manchester City.
Interestingly, Manchester United have not changed their manager in that time despite their supposed interest in Allegri, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer returning to Old Trafford in December 2018.

something is not adding up here:if he had serious problems with the big clubs due to his mother, why didn't he go to arsenal,a small club?
