Mbappe's performance could be very bad news for Real Madrid

Everyone at Real Madrid sat in front of their televisions to watch Kylian Mbappe. In Paris, it was said that he was missing a big night in Europe.

Well, now, he has it. On one of the world's biggest stage, where Real Madrid fans have dreamt of seeing him explode, he did exactly that.

Mbappe's performance has already been seen by the world, just like Ronaldo Nazario's at Old Trafford.

Barcelona fans aren't overly keen on applauding their opponents, but Mbappe deserved it.

He scored three goals - the first and third were spectacular - and he drove Barcelona's defence crazy for 95 minutes. He took the ball home and made Real Madrid fans happy.

But is this hat-trick good news for Real Madrid? It gives them joy, but it's not good news.

Before the game everyone was speculating that PSG would sign Lionel Messi and let Mbappe leave, with Real Madrid waiting to pick up the phone.

That was the theory before the game, but are PSG really going to give up a 22-year-old Mbappe for Messi, who is 34? They can't be that crazy...

At Real Madrid, Los Blancos dream of singing Mbappe, nobody more than Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez. But the deal was already complicated, and now it's become even more so.

After that game, if PSG put him up for sale, how much will he cost? Will it be 180 million euros? Or maybe 200m euros?

Performances like this don't lead to reduced fees and Real Madrid, in the middle of a pandemic, don't have a lot of money. Nobody does.

So, from the joy of seeing Barcelona on their knees in front of Mbappe to the frustration of not being able to sign him.

Mbappe could still arrive for free in 2022, but that's hard.

After a night like Tuesday, it's logical for PSG to offer him a blank cheque to renew.
