Lionel Messi will give a press conference at 12:00 CEST on Sunday to say goodbye to Barcelona and the club's supporters.

The Argentine should have the opportunity to give his side of events after an unpredictable last week, wherein he went from only missing a signature to extend his stay at the Camp Nou to his exit being confirmed in just a matter of hours.

According to those close to Messi, the former Barcelona captain has been affected quite a lot by what has happened, as he himself was desperate to stay at the club and his emotions are running high.

Having spent 17 years with the club's first team, Messi is leaving after 21 years in all as a Barcelona player.

The Argentine will be accompanied by some of his family members on Sunday, and no other Barcelona player will wear the No.10 shirt in the Joan Gamper Trophy against Juventus later in the day.
