After Real Madrid's 4-3 comeback victory against Roma away from home, Real Madrid legend Mijatovic praised Mourinho's in-game adjustments during an interview with Cadena SER. He believes the Portuguese coach changed the game's momentum through substitutions, while also pointing out that Real Madrid still has much to improve.

Real Madrid scored 3 goals in the final 10 minutes of their away match against Roma, turning a 1-3 deficit into a 4-3 victory.

Mourinho's substitutions were a key factor in Real Madrid completing the comeback. Mijatovic specifically praised the Portuguese coach's performance on Cadena SER.

Mijatovic stated: "He performed exceptionally well, always waiting for the most opportune moment, even daring to substitute players who might have been unhappy about it, such as Vinicius, to give opportunities to those who came off the bench with greater hunger to play. This changed the game."

He continued with further praise, saying: "He changed the game with the keen intuition of a seasoned veteran."

Discussing the significance of this comeback for Real Madrid's squad depth, Mijatovic said: "This match showed him a variety of personnel options; some players, even if not starting, can play a crucial role."

"Moreover, being able to come back from such a scoreline is a huge confidence booster for players who don't usually get much playing time."

Mijatovic continued: "Mourinho knows very well who he can trust and when to trust them... he also knows which players consistently maintain good form and can make an impact when the team needs to turn a game around."

However, despite highly commending Mourinho's in-game management, Mijatovic still pointed out Real Madrid's shortcomings.

He said: "Real Madrid still has many areas that need improvement, and Mourinho himself knows this."

Further analyzing Real Madrid's away match against Roma, Mijatovic stated: "The first half indeed worried me somewhat, especially considering Roma's style of play."

"They maintained man-marking throughout, which means players need to expend a lot of energy over 90 minutes."

"Mourinho knew the team performed poorly in the first half, but he also believed that by the final stages of the match, Roma's players would not be able to maintain that intensity."
