Eder Militao can't wait to get going as a Real Madrid player after his presentation took place on Wednesday afternoon at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
The Brazilian arrived from Porto and though his signing has been known for months, he's had to wait until now to be shown off due to his Copa America commitments.
"I'm very happy to be playing for the best club in the world," he said.
"It's through the help of my family that I'm able to play here and I want to thank the president for his confidence in me.
"The Madrid fans can be assured that I'll leave everything on the pitch to make history with Real Madrid."
Florentino Perez himself spoke at the unveiling, welcoming the defender to the capital.
"Winning is part of this club's DNA and nobody surrenders here," he explained to Militao in front of the assembled press.
"Today is an important day for us as we welcome one of the great defenders in world football.
"He arrives at just 21, he's adapted quickly to European football and for five months he was part of the best defensive setup in Portuguese football with Porto.
"His courage and attitude will help him to succeed, as will the millions of fans we have around the world.
"Eder, you are a Real Madrid player. This is your home and you can never forget that the values of Real Madrid will always be with you."
