Moreno: I would like to see the Spanish national team play in Barcelona

Robert Moreno has revealed that he would like to see the Spanish national team play a match in Barcelona.

La Roja haven't played in Barcelona in recent years due to the political tension between Catalonia and the rest of Spain.

"It's not up to me to say where the Spanish national team play," Moreno told the press, "but I'm Catalan and I would like [them] to play in Barcelona."

Spain will play Euro 2020 qualifiers against Malta in Cadiz and Romania in Madrid in November and Moreno has called up Dinamo Zagreb's Dani Olmo to the squad for those games.

"He arrives [with a good reputation] from the [Under-21] Euros and with his team, as much in the Croatian league as in the Champions League, which gives him that measure of competition," Moreno said.

Alvaro Morata is another new addition into the squad after he missed out on the October qualifiers.

"He's scored lots of goals and is being consistent," Moreno said about the Atletico Madrid striker.

"He'd [only] played a game and a half before the list [for the October qualifiers].

"He will help us and we're delighted that he's back with us."

One player that's been left out of the senior squad is Ansu Fati, who has been called into the U21 squad instead.

"He's in the preliminary squad [for the senior squad] and he's open to being called up," Moreno said about the teenager.
