Neville: England's tactics should revolve around Kane, as he is the team's only world-class player

Gary Neville believes the England team's overall tactical system should be built around Kane, whom he sees as the only truly world-class player in the squad.

Speaking about the England captain, Neville said on a TV program: "He is an absolute superstar. Everyone says there is a lot of talent in the England squad, but we only have one truly world-class player, and that is Kane. In the lineup Tuchel has chosen, all the attacking players are there to serve him."

"Some players' recent form has been inconsistent, and the team did not include Foden, Palmer, or Gibbs-White. The coach wants wing players who can make forward runs and get past defenders. Gordon, Marcus Rashford, and Morgan Rogers all have the ability to surge forward at high speed."

"The entire team is built around Kane as the tactical pivot. England's prospects in this World Cup largely rest on his shoulders."

Neville added: "But he won't be overwhelmed by pressure. He is strong-willed, his professionalism is impeccable, and no one can break him. In previous major tournaments, England always had players whom opponents could specifically target, but Kane is not one of them; he is an invaluable asset to the team."

In previous major tournaments, Kane often suffered from fatigue after a long club season. Neville said the current England squad can help him share the physical burden.

"You can't expect Kane to run endlessly back and forth, pressing high," Neville said. "England won't ask Kane to lead the line and constantly pressure opponents; the team's tactical approach will be adjusted accordingly."

Fortunately, he has many teammates with excellent running ability around him. The last thing Kane needs is a partner who lacks sprinting capabilities.

"These wide players can all run; they are young and full of energy. The entire lineup is tailor-made for Kane. He is the leader of this team. Over the past two or three decades, England has produced a few undisputed world-class stars, and Kane is one of them."

Kane is happy to shoulder the heavy pressure of being the team's primary core.

Kane tends to drop deep behind the striker to receive the ball and organize play, but Sky Sports' Roy Keane warned against him dropping too deep.

Keane said on a TV show: "We certainly don't want him to drop too deep too often. In the past few seasons, he would occasionally drop in front of the opponent's back four to get the ball. Even if he only drops slightly deeper to link up play, he remains extremely threatening."

However, he accepts and embraces the pressure of being England's primary core. Think back to his time at Tottenham, when the team was equally dependent on him.

"Bayern is already a strong team, and even within this side, Kane remains the star player, enjoying the feeling of being relied upon. Of course, he needs teammates to provide passes and make forward runs to stretch the defense. Once the ball is near the penalty area, Kane's attacking ability is trustworthy, and his goal statistics speak for themselves."

"His efficient goal-scoring at Bayern has significantly boosted his confidence. Since moving to a new league and playing alongside higher-level teammates, he has also improved his own game."

Bellingham's slightly edgy personality actually enhances his performance.

Keane said that Bellingham's position in the team is second only to Kane's, and that he is currently competing for a starting spot under Tuchel.

"It certainly seems that way; he also isn't afraid of pressure," Keane said. "He has experienced setbacks and injuries at Real Madrid this season."

"Over the past week, however, you could see that his emotions have been a little on edge, and that state actually helps his game. Kane is the captain and holds the highest status, with Bellingham's position in the team right behind him."
