Guadalupe Porras Asuyo became the first female official to take part in a match in Spain's top flight when she took to the field during Real Mallorca's 2-1 win over Eibar on Saturday.

The lineswoman formed part of Gonzalo Melero Lopez's officiating team on a day of firsts at Son Moix.

As well as having the first female official, it was also the first time that VAR had been used at Real Mallorca's home stadium after their promotion back to LaLiga Santander and after VAR was not in use in the second tier last season.

Real Mallorca sealed their return to Spain's top flight last season after six years away and owner Robert Sarver was in attendance for the opening day victory.

The match also saw 37-year-old captain Xisco Campos play his first top-flight game in 15 years.
