La Liga side Espanyol sack their coach David Gallego with team sitting 19th and appoint former Sevilla boss Machin as new boss.
Gallego took over the role at the RCE Stadium in the summer, joining from relegated Huesca, after fans favourite Rubi opted to move on to Real Betis.
The club held a meeting on Monday when Gallego’s fate was decided. He has only won one La Liga match this season, which is the reason he is being ousted, even though the team has done well in the Europa League.
Meanwhile, former Sevilla boss Machin has been named the new boss.
Machin had been out of a job since leaving Sevilla in March and will be presented at the RCDE Stadium on Tuesday morning.

some of the barca fans here talk too much.....i am a die hard barca fan though our coach do make some silly mistakes,selections n also do make some tactical errors,we in some way have to appreciate what he has done for us cos he has beaten some teams that even the pep n the rest couldn't clear example is real sociedad...enough of ur noise cos we are also pleaded for pep n lucho to be sacked....#forca barca..

Even these smaller clubs knows the best thing to do. I just wish the heading was united sack ole after woeful performance. I hope ma wish comes true tomorrow

Very sad news, but Gallego did it best to manage the team, he is a very humble and proud coach despite being sacked by Espanyol.
