OFFICIAL: Atlético Madrid sign David Hancko on a five-year contract

Welcome, Dávid Hancko! After passing his medical examination, the Slovakian centre-back has signed his new five-year contract alongside CEO Miguel Ángel Gil.

Dávid Hancko is now officially a new Atlético de Madrid player. The Slovakia international successfully completed the required medical tests at the Vithas - Invictum High-Performance Sports Medicine Centre at the Madrid Arturo Soria University Hospital before heading to the club’s offices at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium. There, he was welcomed by our CEO, Miguel Ángel Gil, and put pen to paper on the contract that will tie him to our club until 2030.

The Slovak international, born in Prievidza in 1997 and standing 1.88 metres tall, joins us from Feyenoord. He has earned 52 caps for his national team, including four appearances at the last European Championship, where Slovakia reached the round of 16.

Dávid Hancko, who becomes the first Slovakian footballer in the club’s history, will immediately join the first team’s pre-season training camp in Los Ángeles de San Rafael.
