Atletico Madrid are going to sign Nico Ibanez from Atletico San Luis, their Mexico-based affiliate, and he will register with Diego Simeone's side on July 1.
The 24-year-old, who will turn 25 in August, has scored 22 goals in 50 games for Atletico San Luis, and he was key in their promotion from the Ascenso MX to Liga MX, the top division in Mexico.
The news about Ibanez's impending move to Atletico Madrid came via the Mexican side's president, Alberto Marrero, before being confirmed by Los Rojiblancos themselves.
"Atletico Madrid and Atletico San Luis have reached an agreement for the transfer of Nicolas Ibanez," Atletico Madrid's statement read.
"The Argentine striker will be registered once the summer transfer window opens on July 1."

At the moment that is the market of signings the "big" players, through the business of the representatives and the directives of the big teams, fattening the "package" in précios that in reality are far from real and opting for large players without so much "perigree" will continue to fatten the football bubble. The "hidden" business of the Mendez, Promosport, Bertolucci, etc., is a crude way to destroy the sports markets, especially football. At this rate it is not going to be possible for a competition where everyone can have the potential to achieve some success. This will be subject to the big clubs. The others possibly a small business and local representation
