Franz Beckenbauer, known as "Der Kaiser," is one of the most iconic figures in football history. During his career with Bayern Munich, he played from 1964 to 1977, leading the team to great success. Under his leadership, Bayern won three consecutive European Cups (1974-1976), four Bundesliga titles, and four DFB-Pokal trophies. Beckenbauer revolutionized the role of the sweeper (libero) with his elegant style, vision, and technical skill. 

For the German national team, Beckenbauer earned 103 caps from 1965 to 1977. He captained West Germany to victory in the 1974 FIFA World Cup and was part of the team that won the 1972 European Championship. His ability to lead and his tactical intelligence made him a central figure in the golden era of German football.
