Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has officially been named 2017-18 UEFA Europa League Player of the Season ahead of Diego Godin and Dimitri Payet.
Antoine Griezmann was Man of the Match as Atletico Madrid clinched the trophy in May, netting twice to seal a resounding 3-0 victory against Dimitri Payet's Marseille in Europa League final.
The France forward has made 8 apperances in the tournament, 630 minutes in total, during which he scored 6 goals with 4 assists to lead Atletico into Europa League glory, whereafter Diego Simeone's side grab their third European Super Cup with Madrid derby win.
Being the joint winner of Europa League, European Super Cup and Russia World Cup, Griezmann has now turned himself into a convincing contender for this year's Ballon d'Or and FIFA The Best award.
