Patrick Kluivert returns to FC Barcelona after signing this Thursday at noon his contract as new director of formative football until June 2021.
The agreement has been signed in the offices of the Club with the presence of the managers responsible for training football Silvio Elías and Xavier Vilajoana.
Kluivert , 43, played at FC Barcelona from 1998 to 2004. With the Barça team he scored a total of 145 goals in 308 games played, and became one of the top scorers in the history of the Club. He won the league title of the 1998/99 season.
After several experiences as coach and technical director, Kluivert was, until now, Clarence Seedorf's assistant in the Cameroon National Team that played the last African Cup.
"I am very happy to return home and eager to start this new stage in which we face the challenge of continuing to make Barça football one of the best in the world.
"I have trained at the Ajax school, which is similar to that of the Masía, and I think I can contribute many things to the training of the young Barça players, "said Patrick Kluivert after signing his contract.
