Villarreal CF and Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement for the transfer of Arnau Tenas, who will play for the Yellows for the next four seasons, until June 2029.
Arnau Tenas Ureña (Vic, Barcelona, 30/05/2001) is a young goalkeeper known for his outstanding reflexes and quick reactions to close-range shots. He also stands out for his composure and ability to play the ball with his feet.
The Catalan shot-stopper developed in FC Barcelona’s youth academy, where he emerged as one of the most promising goalkeepers in Spanish football. In March 2019, at just 17 years of age and still a youth player, he made his debut with Barça B.
His excellent performances for the reserves caught the attention of major European clubs, and in 2023, Paris Saint-Germain secured his signing. With the French side, he has lifted six trophies, including the Champions League, although he has not enjoyed the game time he hoped for.
Among Tenas’ greatest achievements is winning the Olympic gold medal at the Paris 2024 Games, where he was Spain’s starting goalkeeper in that historic run, as well as lifting the 2019 UEFA European Under-19 Championship with Spain. The young Catalan has been a regular in Spain’s youth teams and even earned a senior call-up in 2022, after stepping up from the U21s to cover for an absent teammate.
Welcome, Arnau!
