Sevilla have completed the signing of FC Porto midfielder Oliver Torres on a five-year contract, the club have confirmed.
The 24-year old has become the Andalusian club’s ninth signing of the summer after a €12m deal was struck between the clubs, as outlined by ABC de Sevilla.
The deal will push Sevilla’s summer spending to over €115m following earlier deals for Jules Kounde, Diego Carlos, Lucas Ocampos, Fernando, Joan Jordan, Mannus Dabbur, Sergio Reguilon and Luuk de Jong.
The former Spain Under-21 international is not a prolific goal scorer, however he has impressed in a creative role in midfield for Sergio Conceicao's side, winning the Primeira Liga title in the 2017-18 campaign.
After starting out at Atletico Madrid he went on spend several years in Portugal with Porto since first joining on loan in 2014, before a permanent deal to the club two seasons ago.
Torres made 57 first-team appearances under Diego Simeone at Atleti of which 36 were in La Liga and seven arrived in the club’s 2014 title campaign.
