Clarence Seedorf will not continue at the helm of relegated Deportivo La Coruna, the club has confirmed.
The Galician team will play in the Spanish second division next year and their new sporting director, Carmelo del Pozo, will look for a coach with more experience of the league.
"It has been an honour to defend the colours of a historic club like Depor," said the Dutchman in the statement released by the club on its website.
"I want to thank the president and all the Depor professional team for the work and availability during these months.
"Thanks to the fans for supporting us and helping us until the end.
"You deserve to see Deportivo again in the LaLiga as soon as possible."
The former Milan coach had left open the possibility to continue at Deportivo, but the club board decided to look elsewhere.

he didnt deserve to be sacked: he is a wonderful manager, and he is a big reason why Depor were fighting towards the end. he was able to get the best out of the players, with a 5 match unbeaten home run at one point, 4 match unbeaten away run even at the end, a 4 match unbeaten run in the midst of it, and playing an exciting style of football to watch. hope he gets a good job which he deserves
