Julen Lopetegui is approaching the LaLiga Santander clash with Espanyol with one eye on the coming two weeks which could lead him to rotate his squad.
So far the coach has tinkered little with the Real Madrid starting lineup but now they face a more crowded fixture run that will see them travel to Sevilla next Wednesday and then take on Atletico Madrid at home next Saturday.
Courtois will return in goal after being a substitute in the Champions League, while in the defensive line, Odriozola could well start with Carvajal discarded. Nacho will also come in for either Ramos or Varane at centre half, or Marcelo even at left back.
Lopetegui is well aware that an in-form Espanyol are a threat but he could bring in Ceballos for Casemiro in midfield, while Kroos and Modric could also be rested.
The coach has made it clear that he has three fixed midfielders for the big games but he will make rotations in the league.
The return of Asensio
In attack, Bale and Benzema are set to start but could well come off after break, and it is likely that Asensio returns to the starting lineup after being on the bench against Roma.
Isco is a possibility as a fourth man in midfield or in attack if in the end Bale or Benzema is rested. Lucas Vazquez is another that is looking for minutes as is even Vinicius Junior who has been included in the squad.

This is the main squad of Real Madrid. But there are still 8 more players who deserves a place in the eleven. 1. Courtois is a Goalkeeper who is one of the best Goalkeeper in the world. 2. Nacho is a good centre back who can also play as a right back. 3. Odriozola is a superbly talented right back. 4. Ceballos is a good player who can be used well in the midfield. 5. Vasquez can play as a right winger who has good pace and attacking abilities. 6. Asensio can play as both right or left winger. We all know his standard. What a promising young Spanish player. 7. Vinicious is also a growing young talent who can play as a winger. 8. Diaz can play well in any attacking positions. He marked the return with a fantastic goal in the Champions League Look how strong this Real Madrid team is.

Mariano was a good backup but he left to be a starter. Besides, his fee probably went way up.

Mariano and Odriozola are good but I think we can do better than the other 3.

That'll be €50M for Mariano sir. Throw in a Benzema on the side and we're talking. You'll still have enough money to buy Firmino or Kane as your main striker.

Would gladly sell them Mariano, even if it means having a worse season. If he stays we're losing either Gouiri or Maolida next year.

Navas is a humble family guy whereas De Gea at least in Spain is still remembered for the 2016 porn issue of him and Muniain when a porn actor used to get him girls to him and other Spain U21 members to have orgies and stuff.

For a club like Madrid, their players represent a brand as much as they represent the club. While Navas is a fantastic player, he is not as valuable to Madrid's brand as a keeper such as Alisson or de Gea because: He comes from a small country with little exposure He's not nearly as marketable as he's not the most handsome player in the world Add to these that fact that he's a shorter keeper (who often rely on quick instincts and physicality to match their longer counterparts) who is now 31 years old, and you can see why Madrid are constantly looking to replace the lad. None of these are the fault of Keylor himself, and the club who potentially picks him up will benefit from his skill.

navas is one of the best keepers in the world. Why do they keep trying to replace him?????

Don't think we don't see what you're doing Flo; leak some mildly big names to the press and then sweep in for De Bruyne and Hazard while their backs are turned. It's just standard procedure.

Mariano was part of the team last season, this season he would have had a lot of minutes since Morata left and Benz was injured. I think we have a gentlemens agreement with Lyon, that's it's technically a loan since buy back clauses aren't legal in France.

Mariano is like the opposite of Benzema. All finishing but doesn't do much else. Zidane would never go for him

Mariano Diaz or a different Mariano? If it's Mariano Diaz, we should've just kept him.

Here we start with the names... 100 names every summer and they will probably get 1 or 2 right.

I'd like to see this squad start against #Espanyol if Lopetugi really wants to give playing minutes to everybody...

Real Madrid and Porto have a good working relationship. I'd hope Herrera has the respect as captain to sign an extension with Porto and tell Lopetegui if he wants him he'll have to pay. Sniping a captain on a free is a bit greasy.

To everyone asking what he got done. His ears got pinned back and got a nose job. Reason? To “help” him with his athletic abilities.

The rotation factor seems to be working thus far. More opportunities for the youngsters coming through. Playing more as a unified team.
