One yellow card away from suspension: Six from Barcelona, five from Atletico and one from Real Madrid

There are three games to go until the 2020/21 season draws to a close and the LaLiga Santander title contenders need all the players they could have at their disposal as they bid to win the trophy.

However, there are six Barcelona players, five Atletico Madrid men and one Real Madrid player who are one yellow card away from suspension and could miss one of the two remaining games if they are penalised in the upcoming midweek round.

Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique, Antoine Griezmann, Frenkie de Jong, Oscar Mingueza and Jordi Alba are all at risk of suspension.

Meanwhile, Stefan Savic has been shown a whopping 14 yellow cards, while Koke has received nine, and they are both one yellow card away from suspension.

Mario Hermoso, Saul Niguez and Thomas Lemar could also miss a game if they are penalised this week, although the latter has picked up an injury and may return to action for Atletico's last game of the season against Valladolid.

Zinedine Zidane only has Casemiro to worry about for the time being, as the Brazilian midfielder was shown his ninth yellow card this season in Real Madrid's 2-2 draw with Sevilla on Sunday.

No red cards for Atleti this season

Although the Atletico Madrid players have been shown 92 yellow cards this season, none of them have been sent off in the 35 LaLiga Santander games they have played so far.

Meanwhile, no team have seen fewer yellow cards than Real Madrid (53), whose players have been sent off three times.

Barcelona players have been shown 62 yellow cards and just two red cards, with Alaves being the side to have mustered more red cards (13) than any other team in LaLiga Santander.
