Ghana head coach Otto Addo has named a 28-man squad for the Black Stars’ upcoming international friendlies against Austria and Germany, with four players earning maiden call-ups.
Among the fresh faces are Auxerre right-back Marvin Senaya, Pafos FC defender Derrick Luckassen, Kocaelispor striker Daniel Agyei, and SV Darmstadt centre-back Patric Pfeiffer, all rewarded for their performances at club level.
The squad reflects a blend of established internationals and emerging talents as Addo continues to shape his team ahead of the 2026 FIFA world cup. Regular names such as Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, and Iñaki Williams headline the list, bringing experience and leadership to the side.
In goal, Lawrence Ati-Zigi is joined by Benjamin Asare and Joseph Anang, while the defensive unit features a mix of Europe-based options including Alexander Djiku and Gideon Mensah.
The midfield department will be anchored by Partey alongside Elisha Owusu, Ibrahim Sulemana, and Kwasi Sibo, offering both defensive solidity and technical balance.
In attack, Addo has assembled a dynamic forward line featuring Antoine Semenyo, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Kamal Deen Sulemana, and Brandon Thomas-Asante, with Agyei and other newcomers hoping to make an immediate impression.
The two friendlies are expected to provide a stern test for the Black Stars, offering Addo an opportunity to assess his squad against high-calibre European opposition while integrating new talent into the setup.
