Angel Di Maria excelled in Neymar's absence and was on the scoresheet alongside Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe as PSG beat Rennes.
Match Events
7'GOAL! PSG 1-0 Rennes (Cavani)
Kimpembe plays a spectacular defence-cutting pass through the heart of Rennes for Di Maria on the left. The Argentina international has a moment to control it and look up, before putting a wonderful cross into the area for Cavani to attack! Clinical with his head – the PSG number nine makes no mistake from close range and puts the hosts a goal ahead!
28'GOAL! PSG 1-1 Rennes (Niang)
Bourigeaud slips a wonderful ball through the gap between Bernat and Kimpembe for Traore who puts a low cross into the penalty area for Niang. Closely marked by Silva and inside the six-yard box, the striker manages to beat Buffon with an incredible backheel touch! The visitors are back on level ground!
60'GOAL! PSG 2-1 Rennes (Di Maria)
The hosts regain the lead through the Argentina international after a fantastic first-time pass played from Silva in defence eludes the entire Rennes defence and allows Di Maria to burst into the penalty area onside and unmarked. With typical class, the winger waits for the goalkeeper to make a move before chipping it over the diving Koubek and into the back of the net!
66'GOAL! PSG 3-1 Rennes (Mbappe)
Koubek passes it out from a goal-kick to Grenier who turns and realizes he has no options to pass to before losing possession to Draxler. From there, the midfielder looks up and slips a pass to Mbappe who blasts it into the bottom corner! It’s sloppy from Rennes and it has cost them!
71'GOAL! PSG 4-1 Rennes (Cavani)
The Rennes defence is out of sorts following an attack and a lovely Draxler pass gets both Mbappe and Cavani through on goal in an onside position. The France international bears down on goal, forcing the goalkeeper to change his positioning but his pass to Cavani essentially gives the number nine an open goal to shoot at - which he hits with accuracy!
Match Report
Edinson Cavani bagged a brace as Paris Saint-Germain marched on without the injured Neymar to a 4-1 win over Rennes.
The Uruguay striker's early opener was cancelled out by M'Baye Niang, Rennes' former AC Milan forward lucky not to be sent off for crashing into Thilo Kehrer's left ankle.
Following a lacklustre opening 45 minutes, PSG powered clear as they have done in the title race, with the excellent Angel Di Maria and Kylian Mbappe on target before the latter laid on Cavani's 20th of the season in all competitions.

I don’t have to watch PSG playing ligue 1 because i already know what’s gonna happen but a champions match should determine how good they are.

Yeah, a well match and they deserved the three points. Brilliant play from Cavani and the world cup winner Mbappe, and a good assist and dribbling from Di Maria. It's only a view I am taking about don't leave that league simply if any club needed players they can take from the clubs because there are many potential players in that league who have the willingness to do more in their life and career. I hope that Primier league, Spanish clubs and other clubs will buy players from the French league. Some of them are very talented but their talent is not known because they are playing with PSG who forbade everyone except themselves from growing. PSG are taking this advantage and buying super and talented youngsters from that clubs. I hope that all the clubs will look in the French league for players to uplift the stage of players there.
