Penaldo? Ronaldo brings up century of penalty goals

The Real Madrid superstar scored two first-half penalties against Valencia, thus bringing up his 100th and 101st spot-kick strikes

Cristiano Ronaldo has netted his 100th penalty goal in all competitions against Valencia on Saturday.

The Real Madrid superstar was fouled by Martin Montoya in the area in the 16th minute, and he stepped up to convert from 12 yards, bringing up a century for both club and country in all competitions.

Ronaldo then added his 101st spot-kick goal, smashing the ball into the bottom left corner, as Montoya again committed a foul in the box, this time felling Karim Benzema.

Ronaldo has struggled to find his shooting boots this season, and had netted just six La Liga goals prior to the encounter with Valencia at Mestalla.

The 32-year-old's struggles have been a symptom of Real's apparent decline this term, with the club sitting fourth, 19 points behind Barcelona, prior to Saturday's kick-off.

Why everyone tries insulting christiano Ronaldo for every goal he scores. A goal is a goal if it wasn't suppose to be a goal penalty would be a thing. Every agrees that this isn't his best season they having a bad season but it is getting better and I would appreciate less insults toward the player

Ronaldo hasn't been performing like usual in La liga, only 8 goals. Most of which weren't very impressive. But let's not forget the Champions League, he has scored more goals than any other player this season in that competition. He was even the first player to score a goal in all the matches of the group stage. He is such a good player yet people only talk about him when he is doinflg bad. What a legend. Hala Madrid!
