Barcelona centre-back Gerard Pique appeared on Spanish TV on Thursday night and made an interesting revelation about Lionel Messi.
The Argentine and Barcelona captain is known for being shy, so it came as a bit of a surprise when Pique stated that Messi is one of the biggest trolls he knows.
"Messi has very ironic humour, he's one of the biggest trolls [I know]," Pique told David Broncano on the Movistar+ show 'La Resistencia,' which has featured some other Spanish football stars this season.
Pique: "Messi is always joking. When media said that Messi would leave Barcelona, when Leo arrived in the changing room, I told him, "They say you will leave." Messi smiled and left."
The 32-year-old also decided to get in a quick dig at Espanyol ahead of this weekend's Catalan derby.
"I have more money than the budget of Espanyol this year," he added.
