Alessandro Florenzi conceded a controversial penalty in extra-time as Porto beat Roma 4-3 on aggregate in the Champions League round of 16.
Match Events
26' GOAL! Porto 1-0 Roma (Tiquinho)
Marega wins the ball off Manolas and exchanges passes with Telles, before squaring it for a just onside Soares to open the second-leg scoring from close range.
A quick VAR check confirms that the forward was indeed onside. A deserved goal for the home side on the basis of the opening 25 minutes here!
37' Penalty Goal! Porto 1-1 Roma (De Rossi)
From pretty much out of nowhere, Perotti cuts into the area and Militao dives in. Poor defending from the Porto man, giving the referee no choice but to point to the spot.
De Rossi keeps his cool from the penalty spot to put Roma 3-2 ahead on aggregate. The midfielder stutters his run-up and rolls it away from Casillas.
52' GOAL! Porto 2-1 Roma (Marega)
As simple as you like for Marega - Porto's best player today - as he peels away from his man and guides Corona's left-sided cross past Olsen.
The striker is left in all sorts of space and makes the most of it. Corona checked back on himself and curled the ball towards the back post, where Marega was waiting to convert.
111' How could Dzeko miss such a chance?
You wait all game for a chance and then two come along at once! Dzeko is picked out in the box by Perotti and he lifts the ball over Casillas, but Pepe slides in on the line to clear the ball.
117' Penalty Goal! Porto 3-1 Roma (Tellas)
Florenzi pulls back on the shirt of Fernando, who was trying to get on the end of a cross, and the referee - after consultation with VAR - points to the penalty spot.
Telles fires the penalty into the corner of the net and sends the Estadio do Dragao wild. The left-back rips off his shirt - the best yellow card he will ever receive.
Match Report
Alex Telles scored a match-winning penalty with three minutes of extra-time remaining as Porto beat Roma 3-1 to clinch a 4-3 aggregate victory and progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Roma took a 2-1 lead into the second leg after an uninspiring victory at Stadio Olimpico but Porto levelled the tie when Tiquinho Soares scored from close range to put the hosts ahead on the night.
Daniele De Rossi levelled from the penalty spot but Moussa Marega made it 2-1 early in the second half before the game petered out and went into extra-time.
A penalty shoot-out looked imminent until Alessandro Florenzi's shirt pull on Fernando prompted a VAR consultation and, after the referee pointed to the spot, Telles stepped up and struck a late winner to send Estadio do Dragao into raptures as Porto reached the last eight for the first time in four years.

It's not been a good season for Roma as they're struggling in the Serie A and now they've crumbled in the Champions League. The manager had a golden chance to redeem himself but after an entertaining thriller Porto qualifies.Roma had a narrow lead from their first leg but Porto were adamant to turn things around as they were aware of Roma's struuggles. Both the teams fought hard throughout the match.Casillas held his ground for Porto.Roma's captain De Rossi scored the only goal for Roma but that unfortunately wasn't enough. He and Pellegrini got injured in the match which adds more to Roma's troubles.Pepe seemed energetic and had an altercation with Roma's captain in between the match. The match went to eqtra time where Porto narrowly edged it for themselves.

for Barca ucl path is clear. only we have to win against Lyon. Madrid is already out which might have quite easy for us. Psg plays better then Manu but ManU managed to win. So manu is not a problem if barca face. Porto already kicked out Roma other wise we were looking to pay revenge to Roma. only one will qualify between Juventus and ATM, but most probably ATM will qualify. So ATM Is also not a problem for Barca. Between Liverpool and FC bayran whoever qualify does not matter because both team play attacking football. And we Barca do not have any problem with attacking team. At last we have to win only against Lyon which is at camp nou, rest we can manage easily. This is my analysis. Forca barca

That was no penalty; shirt was pulled, but he would have never scored. Was too far from the ball. No Rome fan, neither a Porto fan. Both play too defensively for me, a Cruyffista.
