Puertas' strike continues Granada's good form in Leganes win

Granada continued their fine form on Saturday to remain top of the table, temporarily at least, as a solitary goal from Antonio Puertas was enough to keep up the pressure on Real Madrid.

Leganes had plenty of fight in them with 15 shots at goal, but Diego Martinez's side did enough to pick up another three points.

Puertas cancelled out the initial pressure after latching on to a Roberto Soldado pass.

There was late VAR controversy, though, with Leganes appealing for a handball.

Protests and a review were waved away by referee Adrian Cordero Vega, as Granada held on for their fourth victory from their first seven LaLiga Santander games. A remarkable story.
