According to RMC, the French team arrived in Boston on Wednesday and has settled in to prepare for the 2026 World Cup. On the way, some players, including captain Mbappe, had been playing "Ludo" to pass the time.

A board consisting of four large squares of green, red, blue, and yellow, several pieces of each color, and lively discussions. "Hey, he pulled a big move on me! He set an outrageous trap," Dembélé shouted. "It's Rayan," Mbappe replied. "Five o'clock, that's just right for him. Because by then he's far enough away from there."

The official account of the French team shared this interesting video, which took place while the French team was on their way to Boston. The French team will be based here until the end of the 2026 World Cup, which is being held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. To pass the time, the French captain, the 2025 Ballon d'Or winner, and Rayan Cherki gathered around an iPad to play one or more games of "Ludo", a game very similar to "Parcheesi". Brice Samba can also be seen standing and joining the game.

After arriving that evening, the French team checked into the Four Seasons Hotel Boston around 11 PM Paris time. Mbappe was the last to appear in front of about 200 fans, signing autographs and taking photos continuously. The French captain received a standing ovation. Philippe Diallo, president of the French Football Federation, also welcomed the French delegation along with Boston Mayor Michelle Wu.

The next day, the French players held their first training session at the Bentley University training ground in Waltham, Massachusetts, where the team will prepare for the tournament. The campus is about 17 kilometers from downtown Boston and the French team's base camp.
