Following the dismissal of Fran Escriba, Oscar Garcia takes over for his first match in charge of Celta Vigo with a daunting visit to Barcelona, and he will be without Blaugrana loanee Rafinha.
The midfielder remains sidelined through injury, as are Santi Mina, Claudio Beauvue and Kevin Vazquez.
The quartet missed the 1-0 home defeat to Getafe which spelled the end of Escriba's reign, and it may take until the meeting with Villarreal on November 24, after the international break, to see them back in action.
The good news for Oscar and his staff is that Juan Hernandez has been given the medical all-clear for a long-awaited return.
The 24-year-old winger suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury while on loan at Cadiz in September 2018 which caused him to miss almost all of last season.
Despite completing Thursday's training session with the rest of the group, the winger is expected to be treated with caution after returning from such a serious layoff.
