Rakitic on coronavirus: Everyone should follow the advice of the authorities

Ivan Rakitic sent a message of support and advice to fans of his former team Sevilla amid the coronavirus which has spread widely across Spain.

The Barcelona midfielder is still a much adored figure in Andalusia after almost four years at Nervion.

"Here we are at home, trying not to make the days feel too long, playing with the girls, doing homework and other activities like what they could do at school," he told fans via Sevilla's official Twitter channel.

"We have more time to spend with the family, which is also good.

"The most important thing is that we all pay attention to the instructions of the authorities, that we stay at home, that we do not go out.

"We have to have confidence and patience during these days.

"If we remain together, we will succeed. Thanks to all the medics for the great work they are doing," he concluded.

The former Europa League champion with Sevilla also suggested the book 'Law of Attraction' which was recommended by his wife and the movie 'Mia and the White Lion'.
