Ivan Rakitic wants Antoine Griezmann to join him at Barcelona, claiming the France forward is among the best players on the planet.
Griezmann recently confirmed this summer that he will leave Atletico Madrid, with Barca favourites to land his services.
And in an interview with Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo, Rakitic revealed he would welcome the Frenchman to the Nou Camp.
'He is a top level player, (among) the best in the world, and of course I would love to play in my team,' Rakitic said.
'He is a great professional who has won almost everything and that surely can add to any team.'
The manner in which he rejected Barcelona last summer has left a bad taste in the mouths of many, but the Croatian isn't one of them.
"That wasn't a decision against Barcelona or anyone," Rakitic explained.
"It was taken in favour of Atletico Madrid. I congratulate him fro that and if he comes here I'll shake his hand and tell him that I respect him for the decision."
