Portuguese newspaper Record cited Brazilian media outlet Leo Dias as reporting that when Raphinha and his wife, Natalia Belloli, attempted to purchase a luxury home for 10 million euros, they discovered they lacked sufficient funds to complete the transaction.
According to the same source, Natalia subsequently investigated Raphinha's contractual arrangements and discovered that 80% of his image rights income goes to Raphinha's father, while the player himself receives only 20%.
Brazilian commentator Wampeta previously revealed that Raphinha is currently facing serious difficulties: "Raphinha is dealing with severe family and financial problems. He is keen to join Al-Hilal, and his situation is very challenging right now. He hopes a transfer to Al-Hilal will help him turn things around."
