July 24, 2019 will be a date that Raul Gonzalez remembers for some time to come as he debuted with a win as Real Madrid Castilla coach.
It's just the latest big day to be marked in his personal calendar at Real Madrid.
On October 29, 1994 he debuted for the club as a player and on August 27, 2018 he made his bow as Madrid's Cadete B team coach before getting another promotion within six months.
His presence on the sideline didn't go unnoticed either and had the Estadio Albuera Municipal been Twitter, Raul's name would have been trending topic.
Before the game, he was honoured on the pitch as the Segovia City Council paid homage to his career and expressed "gratitude for his career as a player wishing him the best as a coach".
"Raul, Raul, Raul," chanted all corners of the ground, but he was clearly focused on his job, never taking his eyes off the pitch, nor stopping with his words of encouragement to his players.
Takefuso Kubo and Rodrygo are yet to join the team, while a number of others are still working under Zinedine Zidane's orders as well as those who are missing due to their European Under-19 internationals.
But the win came nonetheless, and Raul's love affair with Real Madrid continues.
