Real Madrid basketball player Trey Thompkins recovers from coronavirus

Real Madrid basketball player Trey Thompkins has fully recovered from the coronavirus.

It was confirmed on March 12 that a player at Madrid had been infected, leading to the closure of the club's facilities.

"Everyone in the team is fine," said Rudy Fernandez, confirming Thompkins' recovery.

Thompkins had previously expressed his discomfort with having to travel to Milan for a Euroleague game, as Italy had already been hit by the virus.

"Why can't we play somewhere neutral?" He posted on social media before contracting the virus.

"This virus is serious, so let's treat it for what it is, please."

Madrid asked all players and staff who had contact with Thompkins to isolate themselves at home.
