Real Madrid confirmed starting XI: why Bellingham not playing against Osasuna?

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham continues to be unavailable for his side due to an injury he suffered against Rayo Vallecano. The England international has not had a chance to bed into Álvaro Arbeloa’s new-look Real Madrid side as he remains a fixture in the physio room at Valdebebas.

In a statement, the club said:

Following tests carried out today on our player Jude Bellingham by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the semitendinosus muscle in his left leg. Awaiting evolution.

For you and I, the semitendinous muscle is a hamstring. However, despite initial reports putting his recovery time at around a month, the player has failed to meet the deadline and continues his rehabilitation.

Why is Dean Huijsen not playing for Real Madrid against Osasuna?

Added to Jude’s absence is that of centre-back Dean Huijsen, who has been ruled out of action against Osasuna with a right calf injury. Like with Bellingham, the club have said that he is “pending evolution.”

Real Madrid starting XI:

Courtois; Carvajal, Rüdiger, Alaba, Carreras; Tchouaméni, Valverde, Camavinga, Güler; Mbappé, Vini Jr.

Real Madrid travel to Pamplona to take on CA Osasuna in LaLiga. Kick-off at El Sadar is set for 12:30pm.
