Real Madrid are eyeing Espanyol's Marc Roca after failing to land Paul Pogba and Christian Eriksen, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Roca, 22, was impressed with his performance at the Bernabeu and has since been followed. He is one of the best players in the EURO U21 this year and Real Madrid's technical director claims he will be an important player for Spain just in two years.
Roca would fulfil the work of Casemiro when he is not on the pitch.
For Espanyol the position is clear. If some clubs want to buy him, they must pay €40M to trigger the release clause.
In principle, this would not be the idea of Real Madrid, which would seek to reduce the transfer fee including any of their players, as they have done on previous occasions.

people are underestimating him. rodri was gone for 70 million. I haven't seen him pass the ball forward... he doesn't even try to pass forward even when has options. always passes square or backwards but this boy is something special. he always tries to move the ball forward even in tight spaces. even if he loses the ball he will never be shy to try another one. he has great vision and technique to escape from tight spaces. great reader of the game. still 22, he can even improve in the future. rodri is not the heir for busquets in Spanish team but Roca will be his heir. it will be a good buy for real madrid and a cheaper cost
