Real Madrid factor emerges as Chelsea plan bid for Lazio defender Gila

The defender is a target for Inter Milan ahead of the January market, while Chelsea are also keen.

It's been suggested Chelsea hope to convince Lazio to sell Gila for around €30m.

But that assessment falls well short of Lazio's expectations, particularly given that the player's former club Real Madrid hold a 50 per cent sell-on clause in Gila's deal.

For the moment, Lazio's priority is to extend Gila's contract.
