Real Madrid have gone nine seasons without having an unaffected calendar

The postponement of El Clasico is an anomaly in the calendar, above all because the programming of a match between Real Madrid and Barcelona is not usually modified, however Los Blancos have become used to their fixtures being changed in recent seasons.

Since the 2011/12 campaign, and including this current season, Real Madrid have gone nine seasons without being able to play the schedule they were given at the start of the campaign.

The presence of Real Madrid at the Club World Cup has led to the postponement of four matches in the last decade, but that is not the only reason behind the modifications.

Strikes, amendments to the calendar due to the Copa del Rey final, an improper line-up and even gale force winds that took part of the roof off at Balaidos have prevented Los Blancos from sticking to their original calendar.

2011/12: Real Madrid 4-1 Athletic Club (Strike) / Athletic Club 0-3 Real Madrid (Strike)
