Real Madrid have not lost so many games across all competitions in a season since 1993-94 and have conceded 60 goals in 49 games.
Real Madrid are just four games away from matching their record for losses in a single season and are currently enduring their worst campaign since 1993-94 having lost for a 15th time in all competitions against Valencia on Wednesday evening.
Zinedine Zidane’s first defeat since his return to the Bernabéu was the latest setback for the reigning European champions, who have now lost nine league games, three Champions League fixtures, two Copa matches and the European Super Cup against Atlético.
In 93-94, Real finished fourth in the league, were knocked out of the Copa by Tenerife, who thrashed them 5-1, and eliminated from the Cup Winners’ Cup by PSG.
Real Madrid could yet record worst season in history
With eight games left and nothing to play for – Wednesday’s loss left Zinedine Zidane’s side 13 points adrift of Barcelona and five behind Atlético – Real have the unwelcome opportunity to match their worst-ever season, 1984-85. In that bizarre campaign, Real finished fifth in LaLiga, were beaten in the last 16 of the Copa by Athletic but managed to win the UEFA Cup by defeating Videoton of Hungary 3-1 over two legs.
Real have been struggling at both ends of the pitch this season under Julen Lopetegui, Santiago Solari and Zidane and are among the poorest three sides in Spain in terms of goals conceded per game: Huesca stand alone in that respect, shipping 61 goals in 32 games (1.9 per game), with Real leaking 60 in 49 games at a rate of 1.22 per match.
Real now have to try and finish the season in as dignified a manner as possible with eight fixtures remaining in LaLiga: Eibar, Leganés, Athletic, Getafe, Rayo, Villarreal, Real Sociedad and Betis. The furthest Real have ever finished behind arch-rivals Barcelona is 17 points – last season and in that 1984-85 campaign, when a win was rewarded with two points instead of three.

They have no striker. They have accepted this illusion Benzima is potraying to them. We don't need a no 9 that runs up and down the pitch, we need the one that stays in his position and score goals..

Give Zidane a chance. He will get Real winning again next season. If anyone can get them on the right track it’s him. This is going to take time. It will be interesting to see who comes and goes . Madrid will be winning again next season. Patience is needed all around.

I mean we either win the Champions League like the last 3 seasons or live our worst season like this year.

Real Madrid had lost 10 league games in 2008-09 before signing Cristiano Ronaldo. In the years with him at the club, they never lost more than six games in a season. They've now suffered nine defeats in 2018-19.

Main problem is not getting any replacement and not changing up a squad that was clearly on its last leggs last season already (kroos, marcelo, nacho, bale, casemiro...were all bad last season as well but the ucl blinded our board, when even an avrage fan could see we need a squad turnover)

We were so ready to part ways with the main reason for our success, It's still dream-like to me he got out the way he did. It was a statement of pure arrogance by Florentino Pérez... Think about this, at Barça they are planing for Messi's departure long in advance buying the most promising players in Europe left and right. And Messi still has a good 3-4 years before he leaves. Meanwhile we let Ronaldo go without any kind of important addition to the squad, not even a single proven goalscorer in the squad after losing 50 goals a season... And we were already doing not so great, particularly in the league. Ronaldo needed support, not being given the boot.

I’m still shocked that Perez thought he could just sell the club’s greatest ever player AND have the audacity not to replace him. I would’ve never believed someone would do such a dumb move.

Pirze was Agreed with CR7 to increase money Then CR7 would not go to JUV. For this Pirze is the main culprit to damage the unity of Real Madrid But later he return Zidane 300 millions But lost all Real Madrid already No solution only waiting waht is happened in the next season

every team experiences these at some point in time. we just hope to win the remaining matches and next season with the much anticipated additions, we will rule over Europe again cos a child born by a king does not fight for food with slaves. Madrid is meant for greatness and greatness we will achieve next season. Hala Madrid
