REAL MADRID legend Iker Casillas is continuing to live life in the fast lane as he hinted at a shock new career.
The former Spain star, now 42, is regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers of his generation.
Casillas appeared 725 times for Real Madrid during a storied career.
During his time with Los Blancos, he won five LaLiga titles, the Copa del Rey twice, three Champions Leagues, and plenty more.
And, most famously, he captained Spain to their World Cup triumph in 2010.
However, he was forced to retire in 2020 - months after suffering a heart attack during a training session in 2019.
Despite that health scare, the fun-loving Casillas still keeps himself busy and is involved with ex-international team-mate Gerard Pique's Kings League project.
But now the icon has surprised his 20.4 million Instagram followers with his latest post and hinted at a new career.
The ex-goalie was pictured with a helmet on behind the wheel of a go-kart.
And he captioned the snap with: “I always wanted to be a pilot but it slowed me down when I went fast!”
The photo soon went viral and his fans were quick to jump into the comments to hilariously offer him encouragement with his potential new venture as they claimed he could challenge some of Formula One's greatest.
“You share pole with Sainz,” wrote one follower.
Another said: “The road to F1 racing!”
A fellow follower joked: “Fernando Alonso's 33?”
While his former Madrid backup keeper Jordi Codina also got in on the action as he asked: “You got the L on it ain't it.”
