Real Madrid always look to sign the best players in each position in the transfer market.
At the moment, Zinedine Zidane's first team squad is full to the brim and once the likes of Reinier Jesus and Donny van de Beek join, it'll be overflowing.
Those two signings and the returns of several loan players will push the number of players from 26 (plus Diego Altube) to 36 in the summer.
There are no players whose contracts run out at the end of this season and some deals even run as far as 2026.
None of them have any intention of leaving the club either.
Mariano Diaz and Brahim Diaz's futures have been spoken about recently, but neither of them want to leave Real Madrid.
Mariano earned some minutes during the Supercopa de Espana while, even in the absence of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Eden Hazard, Brahim didn't make it onto the pitch.
James is a candidate
One of the most likely players to leave Los Blancos in the near future is James Rodriguez, with various other clubs interested in signing him.
Not wanting to leave Real Madrid is normal. Not everyone has had a positive experience after departing and everyone who is currently at the club thinks they can change their situation.
Real Madrid's job is to convince some of the players that they'd be better off leaving the club now or in the summer.
The board wants competition amongst the squad, but the right amount, like there is in the current set-up.
