Real Madrid plan legal action against Eufemiano Fuentes over doping insinuations

Real Madrid are said to be considering taking legal action against Eufemiano Fuentes, a Spanish doctor who has been implicated in doping scandals and who has just given an in-depth interview to Jordi Evole.

The interview was released on Sunday and the doctor was asked about his relationship with various football clubs, such as Valencia, Real Madrid, Barcelona or Real Sociedad.

When asked specifically about Valencia, he was quick and firm in his denial. When asked about Real Madrid, though, he paused, sighed and there was a period of silence. "I'm not going to answer that question," he replied.

The programme made note of the awkward answer, saying "it would score a 10 in acrobatics" in a tweet with a clip of the exchange between Fuentes and Evole.

Following this answer, La Sexta journalist Josep Pedrerol has stated on his 'Jugones' programme that Real Madrid will take legal action against the doctor.
