Real Madrid preparing a $330 million coup for 2026

Real Madrid is preparing a blockbuster move for 2026. The club is close to renewing sponsorship agreements with its most important long-term commercial partners, negotiations that would ensure the white jersey remains at the very top of global football’s sponsorship income rankings once the deals are signed.

The most imminent agreement is the renewal of Emirates as the main sponsor of the first men’s soccer team – a role the airline has also held with the basketball team since last summer. The current contract expires on June 30, and both sides are in advanced talks to extend a partnership that began in 2011 and is expected to run for many years to come.

Despite the many figures that circulate, the exact sums involved in these types of deals are never officially disclosed and are usually discussed only in approximate terms. In this case, Real Madrid is set to move beyond the $77m–$88m per-season range and close in on, or even surpass, $110m annually simply for displaying a commercial name on the front of the shirt.

Another major sponsorship under renegotiation is the deal linking the club with Adidas. There is less urgency here, as the current agreement runs until 2029, but both parties have already begun discussions to extend the partnership and revise its terms, strengthening a relationship that has defined the club’s modern image.

As with the airline sponsor, the figures tied to the Adidas contract have never been made public. The current deal is widely estimated at around $132m per season, a figure that is expected to rise alongside an extension to its duration.

The club’s broader objective is clear – to push the total value of the iconic white jersey to $330m a year, once the contribution from HP is included, in a partnership that goes well beyond simple logo placement.

According to published figures, Real Madrid currently leads the global ranking for shirt sponsorship income – including kit supplier, main sponsor and sleeve sponsor – with roughly $286m annually, ahead of Manchester City and Barcelona, who battle for second and third place with revenues above $220m. They are followed by Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
