Real Madrid to use anti-drone techology at Bernabeu against Real Sociedad

Real Madrid will deploy anti-drone technology in Saturday's match against Real Sociedad at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

In order to beef up security at their home stadium, Los Blancos will use drone detectors similar to the ones that the Spanish police use.

The Bernabeu is currently undergoing renovations itself as Real Madrid look to redevelop it in the coming years.

There will be fewer worries about drones once the works are completed because the Bernabeu will then have a roof over the top of the pitch.

In the 2017 Champions League final in Cardiff, the Millennium Stadium closed its roof to protect against the threat of drones.
