Real Madrid wonderkid Takefusa Kubo scored against Jamaica with a powerful shot that nutmegged four players on its way to finding the net in a 4-0 win.

Kubo's quadruple-nutmeg strike was the first of four unanswered goals in Japan U24's rout against the Reggae Boyz in Tokyo on Saturday morning.

The 20-year-old's effort, just after the half hour mark, opened the floodgates in the match, with over-age player Wataru Endo, Ayase Ueda and Ritsu Doan rounding off the comfortable victory.

Kubo latched on to a long throw after quick thinking from his team-mate, shimmying inside on to his left foot before stepping beyond his marker.

He then unleashed a powerful low shot which beat the slide tackle of his opposite man before bisecting the legs of two more defenders and QPR goalkeeper Dillon Barnes, who was making his Jamaica debut.

Diminutive winger Kubo signed for Real Madrid from Japanese side FC Tokyo on a five-year deal in June 2019, but has never played for Los Blancos' senior team.

Although initially earmarked to play for Castilla, the Spanish giants' B team, he quickly impressed during the first team's pre-season tour, before being sent out on loan to LaLiga side Mallorca, where he scored four times in 36 appearances.

The 11-cap Japan international spent last season on loan at fellow top-flight sides Villarreal - making five appearances in Europe as Unai Emery's eventually side won the Europa League - and Getafe.

Kubo, who spent four years in Barcelona's academy from 2011-2015, will hope to impress new manager Carlo Ancelotti and break into Real's first-team after former boss Zinedine Zidane left the club.
