Real Madrid have announced that Franchu has suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and, as a result, has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

The Castilla player will aim to recover in time to start the 2019/20 campaign.

"After tests today [Friday], Francisco Feuillassier has been diagnosed with a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right leg," read a club statement.

"The player will be subjected to surgical treatment."

Franchu, while still a Castilla player, has spent the last two pre-seasons with the first team and made two official appearances for the senior side in last season's Copa del Rey.
