Real Sociedad in contact with Motta

Thiago Motta is wanted by Real Sociedad.

A poor start to the season has heaped pressure on La Real coach Sergio Francisco, who was appointed in the summer after Imanol Alguacil's departure.

Defeat at Celta Vigo when the LaLiga resumes next weekend could spell the end for Sergio at La Real.

TMW says the man La Real have lined up to succeed Sergio is Motta.

The former Barcelona and Atletico Madrid midfielder is available after his dismissal by Juventus last season. He had been linked with Monaco, though they went with Sebastian Poconogli after Adi Hutter's axing.

Contact between La Real and Motta was established this week, though nothing has moved beyond a registration of interest.
