Paraguay referee Díaz de Vivar explained why he gave Messi & Medel red cards in his referee report after Argentina's 2-1 win over Chile in Copa America.
Against Chile in the Copa America third-place play-off, Lionel Messi was sent off after an incident with Gary Medel.
In the referee report after the match, the Paraguayan wrote down his reasons for showing red cards to Messi and Medel:
"Messi: Use language/gestures offensive, insulting or humiliating; For confronting the opponent, in an incident when the ball was no longer in play, giving a strong blow with the shoulder to the opponent."
"Medel: Use language/gestures offensive, insulting or humiliating; For confronting the opponent, in an incident when the ball was no longer in play. Brutally beat with the chest and arm the opponent to be contained by their peers."

behind every good man there's frustration hidden. what more to say if the man is in his end of career zone and he still failed to lift winning methods that he has long craved for. frustration becomes stressed and changes into anger + vengeance. blame him little and blast the entire team surrounded by unnecessary clowns, whom is just being clowning around.

If we are considering circumstances behind the red card then it is irrelevant to mention Messi's rival. The laws should make the beautiful game beautiful not utterances of unnecessary statements. They are some people who were watching for purposes of enjoyment which is outside rivalry. To be honest some of refereeing which I witnessed was amateurish. We used to know Latin America as the home of the beautiful game and expectations were to have professional match commissioners and worse still supported by the VAR technological aid they should take correct decisions meant to be acceptable. There was biase in officiating as I saw

I will totally agree with the ref if he says Messi used offensive and insulting words. This is not the first time he have used that on players and refs. i still remember what he told James Milner against Liverpool. Frustration is eating Messi up and he have to come back to himself. Messi i used to know was a humble lad, who hardly speak with his mouth but with his leg. you insult him with your mouth and he will insult you back with ball and make sure your team suffered a humiliating defeat in his hand. Honestly i have been expecting Messi to get a red card because it has been long coming. i can recall how many times he have been caught on camera speaking to refs in an unmannered way which if other player do it will result to a red card and match ban

Exactly my point... The ball is out of play, do u need to confront him when d ball is out. Messi, d card is fair enough bro. U sud ve turn and go back to ur position instead of confronting ur opponent, u a good professional footballer, with a lot of mouth watering record breaker and awards, u sud kmw better.

lets say that messi is the one who push him in first place. For that yellow card will be fair. This is the most corrupted and unfair game i ever so in this tournament. If u guys watch the game you'll notice that the same scenario happens to Argentina when a chile player push arg player but neither any card nor even single admonish.so only assumption comes to mind is corruption

Messi did push first. If Ronaldo get just by touching hair, think of it, it was a fight and Messi was giving a blow with his shoulder
