Reinier: My mirror is Paqueta & I look like Kaka too, I also admire Zidane

Reinier Jesus officially joined Real Madrid from Flamengo on Monday afternoon, with the 18-year-old set to start playing for Real Madrid Castilla after the conclusion of Brazil under-23's participation at the CONMEBOL pre-Olympic tournament.

"My mirror, actually, is [Lucas] Paqueta, but yes, I think I look like Kaka too," Reinier told Torcedores.com.

"As a child I saw him play with Milan, Madrid and the Brazilian national team, and he inspired me.

"We may be similar in passing and finishing, but our main common virtue is the sudden dash."

The player Reinier idolises most is someone he will have close contact with from now on, however.

"I've never seen him play [live], but I admire [Zinedine] Zidane," Reinier added.

"My father [a former futsal player] showed me videos of him and I always try to imitate his moves.

"If I am one percent of what he was, I'll be fine.

"If Kaka is linked with power, Zidane is linked with elegance, the ability to spin on his own axis and the altruistic sense of the game he possesses: he's not selfish at all."

"I don't like to just score; I always try to pass and make nice assists," Reinier noted.

"It's not that I don't like scoring goals, but I wasn't used to stepping into the [opposition's] box until, with all the work I've done at Flamengo, I learned to do it more."
